Dirtbag, Massachusetts—Now in Paperback!
My memoir comes out in paperback on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. Here's some info on how I'll be celebrating—come party!—plus an essay I recently wrote.
I’m so thrilled! Paperback books are my favorite type of books—cheaper! portable! foldable!—so to see my memoir in its final form is really special to me. Up until now, all of my books have been hardcover. This is my first paperback! If you haven’t picked up a copy of Dirtbag yet—or are interested in gifting it to a friend—you can now do so for less money! If ya wanna see me stick a copy in my back pocket, I made a lil’ video over on my Instagram.
If you give the piece a read and enjoy it (thank you!), please feel free to share it with another paperback-lover in your life (double thank you!).
Now, the official pub date of Dirtbag, Massachusetts in paperback is Tuesday, November 7th, but I’m starting the party early this evening at Books Are Magic in Brooklyn (Montague Street location). I’ll be in conversation with Tara Westover, author of the wildly acclaimed memoir, Educated, which—you guessed it—is also available in paperback!
If you’re in the New York area tonight, we’d love to see you!
But don’t worry, if you ain’t in New York City at the moment, I’l be hitting the road for a lil’ paperback tour. All the tour info is below—I’ll be in conversation with some real literary superstars—so if you’re nearby please come out and say hi! Every stop is at a wonderful, beautiful independent bookstore.
Now, if you’re thinking, “That’s great and all, Isaac, but when’s the next Walk It Off?” Fear not! I have a fantastic walk with the brilliant poet and memoirist Maggie Smith that’s almost ready for publication. I can’t wait for everyone to read it, so I’ll have it up soon! I promise!
Ok, I think that’s it from me. As always, thank y’all so, so, so much for all of your support. It means the world to me. If you want to keep up with me while I’m on the road, you can find me on Instagram, Threads, or Bluesky.
See you soon! 🤞🖤🔥
Walk It Off will always free, but it *is* a reader-supported publication. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber for as little as $5 a month or $50 a year.
