Interesting interview, some things to agree with, some not. Either way, good photos and good writing. It's sometimes more interesting to see the world through eyes you don't agree with completely. Thanks for posting this.

I couldn't disagree more with the idea that NYC is the "top of the mountain" (a myth that every New Yorker is perhaps contractually obligated to perpetuate), but I really loved this interview, particularly the tension between the extent to which the internet has opened up whole new worlds for people far, far away from cultural capitals, and the fundamental necessity of cities nonetheless.

Anand is one of my favorite writers. This felt like such a very warm introduction to his life. The dual interview approach was fantastic and a new way to “see” Issac on the walk. Isaac makes me think I am making new best friends each week. Thanks so much for these.
